RODEO: AKC Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs

Pixley is our fun loving girl from Swiss Run Swissies in Vermont. Visit Pixley's page HERE. Her first litter, sired by Tebow, was born on October 15, 2018. There was only one puppy, so he was born by planned C-Section.

We have one boy, call name "Holman" aka RODEO's Dread Pirate Roberts By Crown. Holman was nicknamed Wesley during puppy raising and now lives with his owners Kaitlyn and Matt in Orangevale, CA.

Raising a single puppy litter poses a challenge; humans must try to replace the socialization puppies would normally receive from littermates. Puppies learn dog interaction, bite inhibition, pain tolerance and many subtle skills from nursing, sleeping and playing with littermates. We were lucky to know another Swissy breeder with a litter the same age. At age 5 days old, we took Wesley to be raised with a litter of 7 puppies at TreeNSea Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs. Thank you Maria for helping us socialize our little man and taking on the raising of our puppy.

Holman is GSMDCA Futurity/Maturity nominated and is co-bred by Mike Rusk, Crown.

"Tebow" is an 8 1/2 year old male whom we have admired for many years. He is the sire of our B Litter and the Amazing Connor (aka Highlander). Studs we select possess an exceptional temperament, demonstrate good personality, pass all health tests recommended for our breed and represent our breed well in health, looks, structure and showmanship.
